Bio Notes and Stats: Dustin is set to contend for Brodix Rookie of the Year honors with the Lucas Oil National Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters in 2010.
The Micro grad moved up to the Midget ranks in 2006, where he snared a Badger win at Angell Park, before tackling Indiana’s wingless Sprint Car scene for two full seasons in 2007 and 2008.
Dustin mixed in a handful of winged feature starts over the latter portion of the 2008 campaign as well, including a starting berth in I-30 Speedway's Short Track Nationals.
Dustin’s planned 2009 Lucas Oil Sprint Car rookie effort was derailed early when an eye injury sustained while spectating forced him to miss several events and doused point race hopes.
Now 21 years old, the Tulsa shoe still managed 25 overall winged ASCS starts in 2009, including a dozen in Lucas Oil National action in preparation for a 2010 rookie effort.
Dustin also mixed in some wingless action in 2009, including a top-ten Sprint Week feature run at Boswell, IN, and then an eighth-place showing in the wingless ASCS Canyon Region portion of USA Raceway’s Western World Championships.
